Duracraft 1648 STX (stick steer) vs. War Eagle 648VS. Hi folks, I'm looking for opinions on these 2 boats, but mainly the Duracraft 1648 STX. The closest dealer to me is a 6 hr. drive so I haven't been able to see either boat yet. If I were to buy a War Eagle again it would be a 1548. If you don't need the extra room the 1648 gives you in length get the 1548. With identical set ups the 1548 is faster than the 1648 and handles better than the 1542. Most I've seen with 40-50 on em porpoise pretty bad just too much weight not enough boat.
